A native to Atlanta, Bethany grew up with a love for all things dance. She trained in ballet, jazz, tap, hip-hop, modern, and contemporary. Bethany moved to Jackson at 16 to continue her training in ballet and then began her career as a professional ballet dancer at 19 with Ballet Magnificat. She started touring worldwide performing as a ballerina, teaching master classes and sharing her faith for 7 years. In 2015, she married her husband and retired from her professional career as a ballet dancer. During Bethany’s transition out of the dancing scene she discovered barre and fell in love with it. It was the perfect segway from dancing full time. She trained and became certified as a barre instructor in August 2015 and has been teaching barre and increasing her passion for it ever since. Bethany even taught and took barre classes up until she was 38 weeks pregnant during both of her pregnancies. Alongside being a barre fitness instructor, she also teaches pre-professional dancers at Ballet Magnificat. Bethany and her husband, Frank, an associate pastor at Christ United Methodist, live in Jackson and are parents to their two girls, Liora and Charis.
